LEE EU
Lee Eu studied painting at Hongik University and the École des Arts Décoratifs de Strasbourg, and is currently based in Paris. She explores the material characteristics of paint and its relationship to the canvas, developing a visual language shaped by the interaction between gesture and materiality. Her series Paysage-Matière, Peinture en question, and Ce qui fut, ce qui est examine materiality, gesture, and temporality in distinct ways, presenting new possibilities for painting beyond the pictorial plane.
